The World Cement Association announced that Turkey’s OYAK Cement Group has joined its fast-growing, international membership.

The recently established Association now boasts a network of members and representatives that cover 26 countries.

“We are delighted to welcome OYAK Cement to our worldwide cement community,” said Norman Greig, Secretary General of the World Cement Association. “We look forward to working with them and our other members to improve best practice and promote the cement industry across the globe.”

OYAK Cement is Turkey’s leading cement producer by capacity, producing nearly 14.5MioT every year from plants in ten domestic locations. It also represents 15.3% of all clinker manufactured in Turkey with an annual production of 11.3MioT.

The World Cement Association is the only organization working on a global basis to represent and promote the cement industry and its stakeholders. Members are drawn from all segments of the cement industry and WCA connects them across the world.

The World Cement Association General Assembly and WCA World Cement Conference will take place on December 11th – 12th 2017 at Le Meridien Hotel, Piccadilly, London.
