According to the Concrete Producer, U.S. ready-mixed concrete production totaled 342.8 million cubic yards in 2016, or 2 percent more than the 336 million yards a year earlier, according to the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, based on information from the U.S. Geological Survey. It’s the most ready-mixed concrete produced in the U.S. since 351.7 million yards in 2008.

The U.S. record for ready-mixed production is 458.3 million yards in 2005. The least annual production during the recent Great Recession was 257.4 million yards in 2010. The December 2016 total of 22.2 million yards was 8.3 percent less than the 24.2 million yards in December 2015.
